  2. Knowledge of Middle-era literature for Dance.
  3. Complete Knowledge of Nav-ras
  4. Detailed knowledge of Nayika-Bhed:
    1. Dharm Bhed: Swakeeya, ParKeeya, Samanya.
    2. As per Age: Mugdha, Madhya, Proda.
    3. As per Nature : Uttama, Madhyama, Adhama.
    4. Jati Bhed: Padmini, Chitrani, Shankhani, Hastini.
    5. As per Situation from Ashta Nayikas: Kalhant-rita, Vasak-sajja, Virhott-kanthita, Swadheen-Patika.
  5. Detailed knowledge of Odissi, Kuchipuri, Mohini-Attam, including knowledge of costumes and instruments played.
  6. Origin of Laya and Taal and its importance in Kathak Nritt.
  7. Comparative knowledge of Sanyukta and A-sanyukta Hast Mudras as per natya-Shastra and Abhinay-Darpan.

  2. Details of nritt (Dance) as per ancient literature.
  3. Biography: Guru Sundar Prasad, Guru Mohan rav Kalyan Purkar, Maharaj Krishna Kumar, Pandit Birju Maharaj
  4. In Nritt (dance), definition and usages of Lok-Dharmi and Natya-dharmi.
  5. Fame of Indian Classical dances out of India (in world)
  6. Details of the technics been used in current time dances (such as sound system, Stage-Lighting, Back-stage, Slides etc.
  7. Place and importance of Thumari and Kaviit in Kathak Nritt.

Practical:
  1. Vishnu Vandana (Knowledge of Raag, Taal, lyrics)
  2. Special preparations in Chhoti-Sawari (15), Shikhar (17), Matt-Taal (18), RaasTaal (13)
  3. Be able to dance on plain theka of Teentaal, Jhaptaal, Rupak.
  4. Be able to choreograph on small stories.
  5. Presentation:  In Tatkaar: baant, Lari, expansion of Chalan
  6. Expertize in Gatbhav: Kanchan Mrig (Till Seeta Haran ), Kans Vadh (Be able to receite the story first)
  7. By sitting: expansion of Sanchari bhav on any lines of thumari or pad.
  8. Parhant of all compositions in each taal
  9. Be able to present 2 out of these: Trivatt, Tarana, Chaturang, Ashtapati, Stuti (knowledge of Raag, Taal, words)
  10. Capable of presenting Nav-ras by sitting, only with face expressions.
  11. Present any Dashavtaar song (knowledge of writer, raag, Taal etc)
  12. In Teentaal, be able to do eyebrow, Greeva movements in laya.
  13. Be able to play or sing Lahara in Teentaal
  14. Be able to present on the spot the story given by Examiner.
  15. Bhav presentation on Ashta-Nayika
  16. Rangmanch pradarshan (20-30 mins)
